can't wait

...to get to know you better.  My mother-in-law brought this gem to me over the weekend.  She is a bit dusty and well worn.  But she has completely stolen my heart.  She belonged to my husband's late father.  The best I can figure, she was born in 1966.

Look at the view finder!  I know it will take time to figure out all of her quirks.  Time I look forward to taking.  As much as I adore my Nikon 3, there is something about being forced to take my time.  Set the shot.  Wait for the developing.  No immediate gratification on his one.  God knows I need a bit of that in my life right now.

I will post pictures when I get her cleaned up and figure out how to load the film.

That's awesome! My husband collects cameras and has a few that are similar to yours, but we haven't ventured into using the old cameras yet. I'm excited to see what it can do!

I was given a few old cameras from my Grandfather, the old, old type with bellows! I have never actually taken pictures with them.
Can't wait to see what you do with yours.

Oh - that is wonderful! Sometimes magic happens when we're forced to slow down and take our time.

I can't wait to see the images you create with your new treasure! : )

Cool! It looks like she's quite the camera! It'll be interesting to see what turns out. Congrats on the treasure.

If you can't figure it out, you might hit up michelle's husband. I am sure he has one of these in his collection.

I just left that comment on lera's blog accidentally - that's what I get for having three different blogger blogs open at once. Geez.

Ciao for now.
