life as normal

Life around here is back to normal.  Normal being a very VERY relative term.  Thank you all so very much for your kind words for my friend.  She did pass away on September 11 after a long and courageous fight.  Your prayers and thoughts were definitely felt around here.  Please continue to keep her husband and two small children in your thoughts as they transition into a new and scary life without mom and wife.

And because life isn't crazy enough around here, we decided to get a puppy.  Meet Sadie.  She is about the sweetest thing I have ever seen.  She's a Yorkie Maltese mix (a Morkie).  I wanted to name her Mindy.  The kids didn't get it.  Sigh.

Trying to catch back up with my life and yours.  What's new out there?

OH Heidi, I am so sorry to hear about your girlfriend. I will keep you all in my prayers...

And Mindy the Morkie? That would have been hilarious! She's cutie though.

Heidi, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. If you could e-mail me your address, I'd like to send you something to pass onto the family, if that's o.k. with you.

what a cute dog, btw!

still thinking of you, praying for them....
I chuckled at Mindy, bummer on the nixing of the name, its too funny. We have two yorkies. They're sweet and stubborn and great guard dogs because they THINK they're as big as Danes, but watch out, because you just got a mix of two of the most notoriously hard to pottie-train breeds. Get a doggie door, you'll never regret it : )

You have been so in my thoughts. I'm so sorry about your friend. A horrible situation all around.

And Mindy would have been perfect. Damn kids.

My niece, Caroline, made the Nutcracker, so you might keep your eyes peeled for her. Yet another reason for us to come see the show.

Hugs to you, my friend.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. I can't imagine what a difficult time it must be for her family. It's hard for me to even think about kids missing their mama. They are in my thoughts.

Your new puppy looks very sweet. If you wanted a dog, I would have offered up mine (just kidding).

My thoughts & prayers remain with her family. I can't imagine such grief. God bless you for the comfort that you must have been to her, and to them, in those last days.

Sadie is just precious. Sorry "Mindy" didn't fly. :) I think it's funny.

I'm glad life is back to "normal."

Mindy would have been perfect. Those kiddos are just too young to know the genious of your suggestion!

Oh my gosh, that puppy is adorable! And I'm not even a dog person.

What's new? I'm home from Vietnam with an even more adorable baby. Meet Samuel Dieu on my blog.
