oh yeah, i make stuff

With all of the excitement of my random life I haven't been making much lately.  This is NOT good for my sanity.  I did however make this quilt for my sister's birthday.  That Heather Ross fabric is too yummy.  And I used a courdoroy backing so its warm and fuzzy too!  I have some baby blankets that need to be finished and a few bags rumbling around in my head.  I finally finished my taxes (gag) so I can free my creative brain again!  YEEEHAWWW!

That quilt is SO AWESOME!!! I love the color scheme, and all the fun fabrics. Your sis is going to love it! I started a little blog challenge, but so far I guess no one has a great pot luck dish they like to bring. LOL! If you have a yummy one, check out my blog. I thought it would be a fun way to get some new, quick yummy recipes, but so far-nope! Boo Hoo! So glad you got your quilt finished. I yearn for some free time to create, but I never have a lick of it! Happy President's Day!

Hi, Heidi,
Love your quilt. I just happened to come across your blog this afternoon. Where are you in Kansas? I’m in Lawrence and found your blog when I was looking for something regarding Iwig dairy. My daughter likes sewing and crafts, too. (Mine's obviously a little older than yours!) Happy blogging!

Such beautiful colors in the quilt. I don't think "I make stuff" really covers your wildly creative and talented self!

Oh my gosh, I feel the same way. Sewing does so much for me, but some days and weeks and months it just doesn't happen.

Gorgeous quilt!

Quilting is one that I haven't tackled. I think it intimidates me!

I am so glad to be able to catch up on your life over the last few weeks. Sounds like you had a lovely little retreat with the Sisters. Yes such a good idea to pray while doing chores! Even better when you are alone and can belt it out at the top of your lungs! :o) I can't believe all the snow you had too! Such a beautiful quilt you made. I have never thought of using cord for the backing. I have used it on pillows before. I might just have to try it on my next blanket/quilt. Have a wonderful weekend Heidi.
