i'm pretending

I'm pretending its spring.  11 degrees is never an acceptable temperature.  We are suffering from a major case of cabin fever these days.  Winter moved in early this year and isn't going anywhere soon.  Any of you guys coming up with good ideas for being stuck indoors?

I'm out of ideas. My boys had a "snow day" today. It's raining and a little icy. I can't even send them outside for fresh air.

I am getting ready to pretend it's spring, too. I think if I sew Spenser some spring clothes, spring will come sooner. (Think it will work?)

Out of ideas here, too. We've done a LOT of painting. And playdates. And baking. And going to the pet store - that's always fun. :) Here's to spring, my dear. I'll pretend, too.

Ideas: charge plane tickets and a hotel room to Florida?

Last night I pulled out 5 years worth of back issues of Family Fun magazine. Ripping pages out in hopes that a few fun things will give us the stamina needed to not bang our heads against the wall.

Not quite as cold here, but too chilly to play outside. We've kept busy lately with playdates, no-bake cookies, a colicky baby (!) and couch cushion forts!

Feeling the same here too! We are doing trips to the library, and Barnes and Noble yesterday which was fun... but Honestly.. I am so sick of it! Today we couldn't even get out to pay rent (100 yards from our door) because it has been sleeting all day! I am going nuts!

I love the flowers. I just wrote a post about my cabin fever. Here it is: http://monkeygiggles.blogspot.com/2008/01/i-am-so-frustrated-i-could-spit.html

I might need to go buy me some flowers. Maybe that will work.

It is supposed to be about 50 degrees here today. That feels really warm after some more seasonable temperatures. I think the only solution for cabin fever is to bundle everyone up and get outside, even if it is just for a few minutes, no matter the weather.

*officially not complaining about the "cold" weather in Phoenix today*

I wish I could send you movies, popcorn, a new board game and a bunch of wine.

Oh I wish it were spring. We had a teaser day in the 60's yesterday and it is back in the 30's with chance of snow today. Ick!

I am in the same predicament. It is funny, when the snow first comes, it is so exciting, but by February I am tired of it. I am also tired of wearing winter clothes--I need capris!

Sorry for the complaining! Maybe you could bake something with the kids or do a puzzle? Those are some things we have been doing.

If the sun comes out, take a drive - at least it will be warm in your car and you will take in a few rays!

A nice spot to pretend in - light and flowers. Personally, I love being stuck indoors - in the summer because it is hot, in the winter because it is cold. Spring and fall, however, are nice to be outside :)

Well we do get a break in the cold every now and then. But on cold days we do lots of painting/art projects, Cooking, eating, little friends come over for tea parties...You could always recruit the kids to help create a spring garden with paper flowers.

hmm...reading or...spring cleaning.

We've just been bundling up, braving the cold and heading outside, usually with shovels, sometimes with snowshoes or skis. But I admit, when it gets down to single digits it can be pretty uncomfortable. Stay warm and don't go crazy!

no idea whatsoever!
but you are not the only one with cabin fever, if that makes you feel any better. :)
