peaced

I love when things come together and there is a sense of peace in my life. An awful lot of folks spend the holidays running this way and that and not really enjoying any of it. Not me. Not this year. I'm not saying that I am sitting at home meditating on the couch with bon bons and a glass of wine (hmmm that doesn't sound half bad). Not so much. But I have embraced the craziness of my life. Is Nutcracker crazy and full of four hour rehearsals? Of course. But what an amazing production to be a part of every year. Are there ten million things going on with moving back into our church after the fire at Christmas time? Yup. But we are coming home. And don't I have piles of hand made gifts yet to make? Duh. But I managed to piece together a Nutcracker throw for the girls to use during rehearsals at the theatre. And that gives me peace. Hope you all are enjoying the rhythm of the season.

Good plan, just let it wash over you and grab good parts as they go by! Love the quilt, the colors are fabulous, I think the combo of dark and light is just beautiful!

Thanks I needed that...if you could spare any of the "Peace" feel free to send some my way.

Beautiful throw you made. Your girls are so lucky! Enjoy your weekend.

Thanks for stopping by my little blog. LOVE your stripped throw, and the way you titled your post peaced. We could all use a little of that. We're all OK. We've all had our flu shots, so hopefully we'll stay that way. We see our Nutcracker on Dec. 15. The highlight of my kids year! Happy holidays!

It is lovely to find some respite and peace in all this pre Christmas madness isn't it! I think I'm still a bit in denial and I know that it is going to creep up on me very suddenly! Love the quilt, take care

Lovely throw. You just reminded me that it is ok to take time to make something for yourself or your own family during this wacky time of gift giving. That throw is something they will treasure.

Wonderful! Embrace it! And we'll be at the Friday night perfomance. Do I need to buy my tickets in advance?

You have the right attitude, Heidi! I've decided that I am NOT stressing out this year. I've cut my gift list down as much as I could, I'm not making handmade (too stressful), and I'm not going all out with decorations. My focus is spending time with my kids, making memories. That's what it's all about, isn't it?

What a great post Heidi :)
I'm trying to enjoy each crazy day too.
Beautiful quilt! You've been a busy bee. I do hope you can sit a bit with that on your lap, a kid or two cuddled up with you and some bonbons!

Ask me after Dec. 8th. I should be able to breathe & enjoy at that point. Maybe on the couch with bon bons & a glass of wine. ;)

Merry Christmas to you & all of your family.

Love ya lots!!
