new

Quite a bit of newness going on around here these days. Anticipation of new projects. Which of course means new fabric, duh. A trip to Sarah's in Lawrence was just the fix I needed. You see that green fabric with the birds and the apples. I think it may be my favorite. I have no idea what it will become, but it was shouting my name. The birds are just killing me. And did I mention that I am finally learning to knit? I know I have sworn off knitting to this point, but I think I have the bug. I can't seem to put the needles down! Don't look too close at the bottom, its a bit wonky but I think I am getting the hang of it. Which of course means awesome new yarn as well!! And the one I have been putting off...the new Blackberry. I went back and forth on this one, but when I dropped my old phone in a puddle last week I new it was time. I am loving it, but there is a wee bit of a learning curve. And my VERY favorite new thing? My dear friend Lara's new babe Kaelyn. So, what's new with you?

Oh, how I love those trees! Can't wait to see what it inspires you to make. New babies are so sweet, warm and snuggly and just right for holding.

Oh, what a sweet picture of mom and babe! I am taking a bunch of Aubry's old clothes and toys to the thrift store this morning and I am feeling rather wistful about it already. I think I am getting a little misty-eyed right now looking at that tiny one!

---Gosh I think I am being a little emotional this morning!

What's new? Well, I am finishing up on a cool little project and I am really excited about it. I will post about it soon!

It all looks so lovely, the fabric, the knitting, the new babe. I agree with Randi, I too am a little misty eyed looking at those wee little feet. Misty eyed because I know how quickly they grow up!

As for what's new, I am knitting a cell phone case. Working on some Christmas Crafts for work and listening to Christmas carols already!

great fabrics and yarn. Good luck with the knitting.

What's new for me? I am knitting again too, but I keep forgetting how to "purl" :)

That little baby is too cute. Tiny little feet are just the sweetest.

Great fabrics - and congrats on trying something new! Can't wait to see what you make : )

Last night I learned how to get pomegranate juice from a pomegranate (how's that for random?! I blogged about it.)

And today - I got new buttons and wool from one of my favorite twice a year sales.

I have been trying to pretend that tree fabric doesn't exist for a while now. My wallet can't take another fabric obsession...but boy is it cute!

I love the green tree fabric!! And those baby feet!!

One of my colleagues once got given a chocolate blackberry as a corporate gift from the city in Ontario that invented the blackberry!!

So badly want to knit. So so badly. I am coveting a baby hat on Etsy but want to make it. I should get over that and just buy the damn thing because there is no way I'll learn to knit before winter is over!

i pretty much love that fabric too. :)

Awww, sweet little baby toes.

Your knitting looks as though it is going really well. Of course, new yarn helps to inspire you. I love the trees and bird fabric and can't wait to see what it will become.

Gotta love the new!

Oh yeah...tried the inner crafty thing...it ain't happenin'. Glue guns, irons, needles - oh my! They all give me war wounds! So, I am going to live vicariously thru you.

Hey, did you really use the word "wonky"? You crack me up!

Oh, those little baby toes! And that fabric? So awesome. I've got to get me to Sarah's. Of course then I'd buy fabric and I don't really need any!

Cheers! LA

Good for you, learning to knit! It looks good.

Ohhhh, little baby feet! I get teased all the time by my family because I always have to take the new babies socks off and look at their little feet--they are so precious!

Thanks for the sweet comment on my blog about the booties! They were so fun to make. I finally updated my blog again. I made my first "official" binded quilt, and another quilt top that needs to become a quilt. I'm proud that I disciplined myself and finished the one I started. Now I have to finish the second one!
