who is excited?

Can I tell you how excited I am about this? I really liked the different style of Amy Butler and her unique take on color and style when I first stumbled on this fabric goddess. But when I really started sewing with her fabric I was sold. It just glides through the machine. And every yard is a piece of art. Amy signifies to me the resurgence of sewing and crafting in this day. Her style is simple and elegant. Refined and relaxed. Amy Butler is definitely my favorite. Followed closely by Heather Ross and her fun and whimsical prints. So who are your favorites? Those of you who are not fabric connoisseurs, what have you seen here lately that you like?

One of my faves is Denyse Schmidt, with Heather Ross being a close second. Heather's fabrics are amazing up close--the colors are perfect and I just love the playfulness of Denyse's designs.

i really like denyse schmidt (although i'm completely pissed that her newest line isn't fully carried anywhere), heather ross and i'm still a sucker for 30s repos.

i really like amy butler, but it seems to me a lot of her colors are "off" and don't quite fit with me. grrrr.

Amy Butler & Denyse Schmidt are probably my favorites. I also really love all the Japanese fabrics that sites like superbuzzy have... (I could spend way too much money on fabric really!)

I'm not sure if I have a favorite, but I have found that I am usually attracted to Alexander Henry prints. It's usually sub-conscious. Of course, it's one of the ONLY designers carried in the ONLY fabric stores (Jo-Ann) near my house, so I don't have much choice.

I am with you on the Amy Butler love! I also tend to gravitate toward Alexander Henry, Denyse Schmidt, and Heather Ross. Not to mention FreeSpirit fabrics like Anna Maria Horner. Then there are the oh, so great Estuko Fuyura and Joel Dewberry fabrics!

I don't know anything about fabrics, but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE KP's quilt. Oh, and did I tell you how much she LOVES it. She tells me everyday! It's so beautiful. I think I'll keep having babies so I can have a collection of awesome and beautifully made Heidi Quilts!!

Okay, I must say I don't know that much about designer fabrics. However I always like what I see on blogs that is made with Amy Buttler fabric.

I really need to get with the program on this topic. I tend to just buy what I can find at Hancocks, and I'm not always pleased with the quality.
