the blog is a book

When I first saw Amanda's post over at Soulemama I knew I would have to follow suit. I have been trying for the past several months to copy and paste the pages of my blog into Word and Publisher. I just could NOT get them to look right and I was getting far more frustrated then it was worth. But then the brilliant and talented and Amanda posted about blurb. It downloads your blog into a book format, a few little tweaks here and there, and voila you have a book! It was soooooooo easy. And I think it only took about a week from the time I ordered until they were sitting on my front porch. I am the most awful scrapbooker, so this will have to be the look into our world that stands the test of time. I like it. I like it a lot.

ps...the fabric under the book is new addition to my stash. Like I really needed it. It was on sale. Isn't that a good enough reason?

:::since this post a few folks asked how much this costs. it was $24 for 84 pages. so worth the price i'd say:::

I downloaded this software ages ago and have never done anything with it yet. Bad me. LOL

This looks so cool. I also inquired with Amanda about this - but would you mind sharing how much it cost you?? I need to do my daughter's blog, but I need to upgrade some of my computer software on this 'ole Mac to run this program. If it appears to be a super-duper deal, it may be worth the hassle! :)

And of course that's a good enough reason to buy all that fabric... where is from!!! I have to have it. *jealous!*

How Cool! I love the idea of doing that sometime down the road. And your new fabrics are gorgeous. I love that lemon one!

I've been wanting to make a book, too, as I am a horrible (read "non") scrapbooker.

I am laughing at your fabric stash because I have a LOT of the same ones. (The green one I just made a baby jacket and an appliqued shirt for my baby. I have the yellow lemons, the orange dots next to the yellow and I almost bought orange with small flowers.)

That is great. I've always done my blog in Word first and then saved a finished copy with links/photos and comments. (It came in handy when someone hacked in and deleted the first month or so of posts.)

I intended on putting it together someday for the kids when they get older (since mine is more R rated) so they understand why they ended up in therapy like good old dad.
