I really am a good wife. My poor dear husband arrived home from work at 6am. He said it was pretty nasty out, but I had NO idea. I opened the garage door, good wife that I am, to shovel the driveway. Yeah. Three feet of snow drifted up against our garage door. And they weren't small drifts. The whole width of our garage. Then about 15-20 feet out. So I shoveled. Then I broke our good shovel. The other one was like, well, shoveling huge drifts of snow with a tiny shovel. Two hours later I had about half of the driveway done. Then snowballs started falling from the sky. Not flakes, snowballs. I'm done. The husband can finish. I am only a sorta good wife I suppose!

It doesn't snow in our neck of the woods (except one freaky storm last winter) Our kids were ecstatic because they had never seen snow. I think you're a very good wife, just TRYING to get through that. I'd like the snow if I didn't have to do anything but look at it from the window with a cup of hot cocoa, a fireplace, and of course my sewing machine! LOL!
even half a drive is a better wife than me!
We only have street parking in most of our little town. One night, while my husband was traveling and due home eary the next morning, I shoveled out a spot for him where he parks EVERY day in front our of house. My very rude and obnoxious neighbor parked there over night, as if I had shoveled it for his lazy butt.

Wow, that's quite a workout you got! Those huge snow drifts need to be attacked in phases, and preferably by different people!
you know, i actually enjoy shoveling, but my knee won't permit it right now. it's some exercise and something to do while the kids are running around in the snow.
(our shovel broke this weekend, too!)

in all fairness, I think you got more snow than we did too!
If we had 3 feet of snow, both David and I would wait until someone knocked on the door looking to get paid to clear the driveway. LOL (And we would happily pay them with that much snow!)
Yeah, that's why we don't shovel. Well, our driveway is only about 12 feet long and one car wide though -- and totally flat. :) You need a snowblower!
yeah. aaron told me i should shovel today. hahahahahahahha, like i'm STEPPING FOOT OUTSIDE after last night's fiasco. yeah, right.

Wow! No, you are a good wife. I live in FL and this degree of snow scares me. It is beautiful but looks way too cold :)
Aren't you glad you didn't have to get the kids to school today? I know I'm so thankful for getting to stay home and not go to work in this crazy snow. Matt wasn't so lucky!
I thought shoveling our 10 inches today was good. But wow...You are the women! The best part was hot cocoa after the work. yum.
You're a better wife than I am! I just feed him and offer him a beer after he's been out busting his butt for an hour. :)

As backbreaking as it probably was, I must say I'm a teensy bit jealous. No snow here at all.
Yep. Broken shovel at chez laeroport as well. And man, Topeka did a sucky job plowing yesterday. Geez! Is 10th Street not a major road anymore? Of course up north there was a snowplow in the ditch at 46th & Button. Nice!
That's a lotta, lotta snow! When we have snow like that, I'm always ready to pay a teenage boy to shovel it. Unfortunately the teenagers are all in their nice warm houses playing their video games. :)
halfway down a 15-20 foot driveway? You are a dream come true!! Don't you sell yourself short. You'll be out there making hot tea for the wonderful husband who will finish the job.
